Justin Bieber |
LAWYERS for the girl who says Justin Bieber fathered her baby insisted yesterday that they have "credible evidence" to prove her claim.
And the legal team representing 20-year-old Mariah Yeater pledged to reveal it in court.
Mariah claims son Tristyn, four months, was born after a 30-second romp with squeaky-clean pop idol Justin, 17, at a Los Angeles gig venue.
Justin has denied her accusations and says he'll fight the "malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims".
But yesterday Mariah's lawyers Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare called on him to take a DNA test.
They said in a statement: "Mariah Yeater is pursuing a modest and rightful claim. There is credible evidence that Justin Bieber is the father of her baby. The evidence will be revealed in court."
The lawyers insisted their client was not seeking "exorbitant compensation". They added: "She merely requests he provide a DNA sample to verify he is the father and, if so, help provide child support."
Mariah filed a paternity suit last Monday — claiming she romped with the Baby singer backstage in October last year.
But devout Christian Justin vowed on Twitter to "ignore the rumours" and "focus on what is real".
And a spokesman for the star strongly denied any sexual encounter took place.
Mariah's lawyers also urged Canadian Justin to settle the case before a potential paternity hearing that could take place next month.
However some of his fans — who call themselves Beliebers — yesterday issued DEATH threats against Mariah.
One tweeted: "I could kill this b****, really she messes with my baby!!"
Another warned: "Go away before millions of Beliebers kill you."
